Sunday Wrap.....on Monday

I was busy yesterday and didn't take time to share about Sunday.

We had another great day at GB West. I preached on the subject of "What to do in Uncertain Times."

I believe that it is evident that we are living in uncertain times. The economy stinks, the presidential campaign is crazy (but finally over, maybe), and the world is in terrible shape. However, GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL!!!!

I used the text in 2 Kings 6:16 - "Do not fear, for those that are with us are more than those that are with them". The young servant of Elisha could only see the army of Syria surrounding them, but Elisha could see the armies of God surrounding the army of Syria.

In Uncertain Times, we must:

1) Have the right perspective - Do we see with "natural" eyes or with "spiritual" eyes?

2) Not Fear - We can't be afraid of the days we live in. The craziness of our world is simply setting the staging of the return of Jesus to take us to be with Him. If Jesus was not Lord of my life, I would be afraid. However, Paul wrote to Timothy (1 Tim 1:7), that God does gives the spirit of fear.....

3) We must know Who is with us - Romans 8:31 says that "If God is for us, then who can be against us?" God is with us and HE HAS OUR BACK.

Next Sunday, we will continue looking at this story in 2 Kings 6 and 7.

That is all for now....until then DREAM BIG!!!!
